As was requested by no less than 10% of the Dutch Spotted Sheep Society Membership under clause 9 of the constitution, a Special General Meeting has been called to take place on Sunday 21 August 2022 at 7pm via Zoom.
This is to vote on the single proposed change of the lambing date from 1st February to 1st January.
Points to note:
Any individual wishing to vote must be a fully paid member.
Any individual wishing to vote who is unable to attend the meeting must submit their proxy vote no less than 14 days prior to the Special General Meeting (Saturday 6 August). Said individual must submit the flock name and number of both themselves and the proposed proxy. Submission form can be found below.
Postal Votes form can be found below and they must be submitted to the society 14 days prior to the meeting (7th August). Votes must be in an envelope addressed to the Dutch Spotted Sheep Society Scrutineers. This envelope must then be placed in a second envelope and posted to: Dutch Spotted Sheep Society, C/O Jenni Cannon, Redbrae Farm, Wigtown, Newton Stewart DG8 9DJ
Only one vote per flock will be accepted.
As it stands the society ruling states the lambing date is February 1st. This rule continues to remain in place until the vote has been taken, which means that no rams should be running with ewes until the vote has been decided.
Any member who does not receive electronic communication has been written to. If they can not attend their vote will be opened and verified by the independent scrutineers.
The zoom link shall be made available two days prior to the meeting.
