Lamb Registrations - Lambs should be registered by 30 November in the year of birth - after this date the fees double.  This also applies to any animal birth notified in the year that you wish to upgrade to full registration.  All lambs including Graded females can be submitted through Grassroots as all will have dams within flocks and only Grades 3, 2, 1, 0 can be registered.

Please note that all mothers need to be within your flock for you to register their lambs so if you have bought any females please send their pedigree certificates to [email protected] for them to be transferred in. 

Rams which are owned by you should also be transferred in, this makes the registration process much more straightforward and less time consuming.

EAR TAGS FOR 2026

For 2026 the Society year colour for tags is PURPLE and flag tags are recommended.  They must bear the following information:

UK Flock Number, Individual EID Number, DSSS Flock Number and DSSS Year Letter - the letter for 2026 is J for Jayne
