The Northern England & Borders Regional Show took place on Saturday 7th June, proudly hosted by the Cumberland Show.
Despite the rain, spirits remained high and the quality of entries across the classes was exceptionally strong throughout the day. Our judge, Dereck Steen, carried out his duties with fairness and attention to detail, offering valuable feedback to all competitors.
Top honours went to a striking shearling gimmer, Rigghead Hottie, exhibited by Ali & Hannah Jackson, who not only claimed Female Champiion but also took home the Overall Champion and Reserve Interbreed Champion titles!
Jack Dixon followed closely behind with his impressive shearling tup, earning Champion Male and Overall Reserve Champion with Danzi Hercules.
Reserve Champion Male was awarded to Jack Sim with his aged tup Murtles Ever Ready, while Owen Marrs secured Reserve Champion Female with his own shearling gimmer, Merryboro Honeypot.
In addition, Owen Marrs was recognised with the Dutch Spotted Young Handler award, selected by the judge for his outstanding handling and presentation skills.
