Flirty Gains the Attention of the Crowds at Welshpool

Bred by Jonathan & Janet Corbett, Wedderburn Flirty topped Welshpool Autumn Sale on Wednesday when she sold to an undisclosed purchaser for 18,000gns. Sired by Glencloy Chance and out of Import Candy Floss, Flirty is a full sister to Wedderburn Flipper who sold for 10,000gns at Carlisle the previous week.

Second on the price list was a shearling gimmer from Tom & Louise Nash, Merryboro Eye Candy, selling for 2,400gns to Ilona Thompson. Eye Candy as Import breeding on both sides, with her dam being Import Bonnie (IM1322).

Tom & Louise’s ewe lamb, Merryboro Fitbit sold for 2,200gns. Purchased by Elgar Jones, this ewe lamb was sired by Import Dutch Dominator (IM1310) and is out of homebred Merryboro Cheryl.

2,100gns was reached twice, first for Ali Jacksons, Tiptop Fandango. This ram lamb stood 1^st in his class in the presale show and went on to be crowned male champion and overall breed champion. Sired by the well-known Tiptop Ed and out of the multiple time breed champion, Tiptop Diana, Fandango found a new home with RV & GE Jones.

At the same price was the female champion, Lower Argoed Ffi. Bred by Miss B A Jones, this ewe lamb has Wedderburn Dancer as her sire and Import (IM0460) as her mother.
