Standing reserve champion in the pre-sale show, Mount Pleasant Fern topped the Carlisle sale when she sold for 7,000gns. Bred by Graeme Jackson, Fern is sired by homebred Mount Pleasant Elvis and is out of Gwyn Gelli Clover. Next on the price list was Tiptop Eco from Ali Jackson. Eco stood first in the shearling gimmer class and went on to receive overall champion. Selling for 6,500gns and out of Daphne 2 (IM1263), Eco is sired by Westbroad B Explorer II and sold to Mr O Watson.
Rhys Francis made 3,000gns for his 2022 imported ewe and the hammer was knocked down at 2,500gns for Andrew & Pam Parkers Lochlad Elletta. Elletta came from imported parentage, sired by Avalanche (IM0620) and out of Bianca (IM0326).
