Dutch Spotted topped the multibreed May Spring Fling sale at Melton Mowbray over the bank holiday weekend (4th May 2024) with a shearling ewe, CJ’s Gabriella’ from Master CJ Cormack & Miss G A McDowell selling for 850g.
Second top price of the sale was achieved by a strong pedigree ewe, Outberry Echo and her two lambs from Dell Amson of Sandstone Flock which sold for 750g.
Other leading prices included weaned Ewe 'Williams Diva' from T Mawer of Kelby flock which sold for 520g and a shearling ewe, How Caple Greta Garbo, from S Ghiorghita of Bendis Flock which sold to T Buckland for 400g. Greta Garbo was bred by D Mattia out of a Pentre Elsa by Glencoy Chance.
Graded shearling ewes sold to £230 from R W Barker of Rojean flock whilst commercial ewes with graded lambs at foot, also from Rojean flock, sold to £230 per life.
