The recent Export sale of Dutch Spotted Sheep lived up to and surpassed expectations both in quality and prices. A large number of stock was presented at the pre-sale show judged by Dave Roberts of the Boyo Flock in Shrewsbury. He found his Champion in the ewe lamb class. The Champion, Derg Honeybee, was exhibited by Allen Shortt & Samantha Allen, a daughter of Sunnybank Geronimo and out of the 2022 Carrick on Shannon Champion purchased for 5000 gns. She was purchased by Janet Corbett for their Wedderburn flock at 11000 gns. Janet also takes home the female reserve champion, Glenkeen Hazel, a successful first outing for the Harbinson family for 5500 gns with this Longfield Franklyan daughter and out of Umgola Flossy. Highlight of the sale was Sophie McAllister’s Male Champion ram lamb, Artnagullion Half Pint which set the ringside alight with determined bidders finally stopping at 13,500 gns and secured by Cannon Hall Farms and Alex Colhoun.
