Triple Topper at Carlisle May Fair Society Sale!
It was a triple top trade at Carlisle, with the sale peaking at 2,000gns on three occasions!
Topping the trade first was Lot 44, a standout weaned ram lamb from the Milltown Flock – Milltown Iron Man (ET). Sired by Drumhard Harrison and out of Diamond Felicity, this powerful lamb made the journey from Northern Ireland a rewarding one for the breeder.
Next to hit the 2,000gns mark was Lot 62, offered by Oliver Watson of the C-View Flock. His entry, C-View Iconic Lady (ET), a stylish weaned ewe lamb, is a daughter of Milltown Hank the Tank and out of the well-regarded C-View Fanta.
Also achieving top honours at 2,000gns was Barquhill Haven (ET), a smart shearling ewe presented by M & R McCormick. She is by Westbroad Diego and out of Glencoy Destiny, adding to a strong day’s trade.
Ram lambs were in high demand with second top price going to J Whiteford of the BlackJack Flock for Lot 55, Blackjack I am Titanium (ET), with the hammer dropping at 1500gns. Trade remained strong throughout the sale and the evening of trading saw a good crowd of purchasers gather.
