Championship Double for Diana

Tiptop Diana - Overall Champion, Female Champion & 1st Prize Aged Ewe Tiptop Charlie - Reserve Overall Champion, Male Champion & 1st Prize Aged Ram Diamond Else - Reserve Female Champion & 1st Prize Shearling Ewe Tiptop Ed - Reserve Male Champion & 1st Prize Shearling Ram

The Dutch Spotted Sheep Society National Show once again took place at the Great Yorkshire Show. With over 150 entries forward, spectators were offered a fantastic display of stock.

Joanne Hall, Cumbria, was judge on the day and it was once again Ali Jacksons ewe over one shear, Tiptop Diana who was crowned female champion and overall champion. Fresh off her RHS Championship, Diana is sired by Tiptop Charlie and out of an Imported Ewe, IM0319. This outstanding female went on to be crowned Reserve MV Accredited Interbreed Champion.

Reserve Breed Champion, and Male Champion was again awarded to Ali Jackson, this time to the first prize aged ram, homebred Tiptop Charlie. Charlie is sired by Lochlad Braveheart and is out of an imported ewe, IM0041

Reserve Male Champion was awarded to Tiptop Ed, also bred by Ali Jackson. Sired by IM1277 Diago and his dam is IM1261 Daniella.

Reserve Female Champion went to Henry Jewitts first prize shearling ewe, Diamond Elsa. Bred by Emma Shortt, Elsa’s dam is Import Bella II (IM0410) and she is sired by Drumhirk Decider.

First prize ram lamb was awarded to Nick Brown with Irthing Valley Fancy Pants. Sired by Diamond Eminem and out of Import IM0254.

Winning the ewe lamb class was Tiptop Fine N Dandy. Bred by Ali Jackson, this flashy ewe lamb is sired by the reserve male champion, Tiptop Ed. Her mother is Import Bellino (IM1283).

Interbreed success continued for the breed and for Ali Jackson, receiving Reserve Interbeed Group of Three for Tiptop Diana, Tiptop Ed & Tiptop Eco and Interbred Pair of Ram Lambs and Overall Interbreed Pair of Lambs.
